Eyebox started the year with a very busy schedule, with many of our Morelli key suppliers using the facilities for their sales meetings and product launches. We now have a regular booking from the NHS who use our meeting rooms for weekly seminars, so the centre is proving popular not just within the automotive industry but also in the wider local community.

New Booking System

We have a new booking system called GoBright, which allows us to book meeting rooms by the hour, reserve booth and workshop spaces, and to monitor occupancy across the year. There is a check-in panel in Reception that each visitor signs into, either with a QR code that we send them in advance, or manually, which then prints a visitor's badge. Visitors can then go directly to the room that their meeting is in, which has a tablet system tablet outside showing the times that the room is reserved for.

This will help people to see when a room is in use as the panel turns red, or, if it is free to use, it will be green. This system will prove vital as the centre gets busier to ensure that we run smoothly as well as using maximum occupancy for Eyebox.

IMI Connection

Eyebox is playing host to the Worldskills UK competitor Miguel Harvey, who is training for the Worldskills final in Lyon, France, in September 2024. We also look forward to welcoming the heats to the centre, more information on this to follow.

In April, we are hosting part of Celebration Week with the IMI who will be bringing 120 school children aged 7-10 in to Eyebox to build wooden electric cars. This is a very exciting event for us and we will be reporting on this as it happens. We will do a separate blog on this once the event has happened.

Coffee Machine

This may seem like a minor thing but we have discovered that coffee and tea facilities are extremely important to our visitors at Eyebox! Our new state-of-the-art machine produces all manor of fancy coffees as well as hot chocolate options and has been consistently remarked upon by our guests since its installation in early January.
