Interior Repair Leather, Vinyl and Velour

Eyebox Centre
  • Interior & Plastics
  • IMI Certification

Course Overview

Interior repairs cover three materials; leather, vinyl and velour. The materials and techniques for leather and vinyl are broadly similar, covering repairs to seat bolsters and swabs, including scuff damage, rips and even holes. These repairs are not limited to automotive applications and could also appeal to marine, household furniture and clothing businesses.

Velour repairs, involving the application of tiny fibres, are typically applied to cigarette burns to seats, headrests and thin pile carpets. Colour matching is a vital element of these repairs and can be covered by using either our colour chip system with its formulation book or our evolutionary computerised interior colour matching Spectrophotometer.

This guarantees an excellent level of accuracy lighting conditions and will even match worn or aged leather or vinyl. All these repairs can be completed to a very high standard at a fraction of the cost of replacing expensive trim items.
