Slim's Detailing is part of the Morelli Group, named after Morelli founder Challoner "Slim" Moring. The Slim's Detailing Training Academy opened in 2019 and has been home to our range of detailing courses since.
We have now moved these courses to Eyebox, offering the high-quality training Morelli have become known for, under the same roof.
Slim's Detailing were the first provider of a detailing training course with a recognised qualification in the UK. Our courses are suitable for beginners as well as those on their way to becoming professionals. Our 'Master Detailer Training’ and ‘Paintwork Polishing and Ceramic Coatings’ courses are recognised and accredited by the IMI, meaning participants have the option to become qualified for a low registration fee. We also offer individual bespoke training days for those who may have already gained qualification from us but would like to hone in their skills to something more specific. These are also open to anyone looking to broaden their knowledge in the world of detailing.
Detailing is the process of thorough cleaning and decontamination of a vehicle followed by paint enhancement with machine polishing, making it ready to receive the wax and finishing dressings that will bring the vehicle to show quality. The focus is on quality of finish and attention to detail, producing a better-than-showroom shine that other methods are unable to achieve.
