Back in July, Eyebox worked with Primary Engineer, an organisation designed to bring engineering into the classroom, to host their Vehicle Programme.
Morelli Group along with NBRA, ABP Club, AutoPlas, Stellantis, and Axalta funded 10 local schools in the Coventry area to take part in the programme. The day saw 80 pupils testing their push and battery-powered vehicles that they had designed back at school, with a prize-giving ceremony to celebrate their talents.
One of the other activities on the day was a SATA Spray Gun design competition. Pupils were encouraged to let their creativity run wild and colour in the spray gun templates provided. 45 students took part in the contest and a final 6 were shortlisted to be judged by a panel of technicians and industry figureheads. The first-place prize was to have their design brought to life on a real SATAjet X 5500 which really helped to amp up the competition.
The winning design was created by Zohra from All Saints Church of England Primary School! Below is a photo of her creation and the realised version from SATA.
Neil Bridgewater had the honour of presenting Zohra with her prize on Monday 24th November during the school's morning assembly with her parents in attendance to celebrate. It was such a pleasure to see the excitement on her face and her joy at receiving her prize. Congratulations, Zohra, we hope to see you in the industry soon!
